Philips / Indal (WRTL) ARC luminaires. The luminaires are installed in 2005 and are in
good shape. The light sources that are used are SON-T 100W powered by conventional
ballasts or electronic gear.

Retrofit with QL
To create a durable retrofit easy and fast (in house replacement <15 minutes) the
original parts of the luminaire are used whenever possible. The pictures of the open
luminaires show the difference between the conventional ballast with igniters and the
electronic gear of QL. In the picture of the closed situation (photo below left) a tailored
QL heatsink (black) is added to dissipate the heat from the power coupler and to
position the lamp in the existing reflector.

New situation
In the new situation the existing Indal ARC luminaires are retrofitted from SON-T 100W
to QL 55W. The assemble or retrofit can be done very easily within the technical
department or by the installer. Below you can find the advantages of QL 55W systems
compared to SON-T 100W.
